A Perfect Day.

A Dream Come True.

The young professor ( work) in his workshop in Boston It ( be) a very hot afternoon in June, but the man didn’t notice. He was totally absorbed in his strange machine which he (work) on for about three years. Suddenly he (hear) a sound. The machine (be) the very first telephone and the young man (be) Alexander Bell.

Although he was only 28 years old at the time, Alexander( work) in the field of speech, anatomy, electricity and telegraphy for over 11 years. Alexander’s father (write) also several books on how to speak correctly inventing a sign language called visible speech. At the age of 16 Alexander ( start) to help teach deaf children.
